JVC HAL1 - Interior windscreen mount DAB antenna
Screen Antenna (HAL1) - Screen is the most discreet aerial and fits from top to bottom of the windscreen close to the A pillar on the passengers side of the car. It is easy to fit and will receive a DAB signal in good areas. Unfortunately, it will perform poorly in fringe areas. Another drawback is if the windscreen has heater filaments or metallic sunscreen within the glass it will not work. Also, if the windscreen to which the aerial is being fitted is not deep enough (top to bottom) to take the aerial and both metal filaments, they cannot be cut, as again the aerial will not function. Should the aerial be used in a rear side window an extension lead is available. This will reduce the amount of signal available at the set. (Part no: HAL1 EXT).

The JVC KSU58 line input adapter may be used to add an auxiliary input to most JVC head units with CD changer controls. This adapter allows you to connect an external audio source, such as a MP3 player, iPOD, portable MD player, CD player, cassette player, or mobile VCR to the JVC head unit. The adapter connects to the J-Link CD changer input on the head unit and has a mini-jack (headphone) socket.
Note: When the aux input adapter is connected to the head unit, a CD changer cannot be connected.

The HAL2 antenna offers combined AM, FM and DAB reception in one single unit.
The aerial comes with a 5m RG174 DAB cable, terminated in a 90 degree SMB(f) connector, suitable for JVC and most other common car DAB units.
For AM/FM connection, the aerial has a 10cm RG174 cable, terminated with an M10 threaded cable connector (sometimes referred to within the car audio industry as a Hirshmann type connector).
If you are connecting the unit to an existing extension cable with a DIN type connector, adaptor PC5-85 may be required. If no existing aerial cable is run to the aerial mounting location, a standard FM aerial extension cable will also be required to run to the head unit, in addition to the PC5-85 aerial adaptor.
